Description:

  • Brief discussion of current research projects and descriptions of data collection procedures:
    • Physical function and strength test
    • Assessment of resting metabolic rate in Rentfrow 214
    • Collection of blood sample and biochemical analyses
  • Highlight research investigations examining mechanisms underlying alterations in mass and quality of skeletal muscle during aging (i.e. Sarcopenia).
  • Lee will also discuss the design and determination of the efficacy of interventions (e.g., exercise, nutritional) to improve mass and quality of skeletal muscle and physical functioning in old adult populations
